Fritz Kocher Biography


Painter. Born in Germany on Sept. 17, 1904. Kocher settled in Los Angeles in 1929. He died there on March 10, 1973.

Painting in oil, his subjects included architecture/buildings; coastal view/shoreline; landscape and marine.

Exhibited: California Art Club, 1935-37; Society for Sanity in Art, California Palace of the Legion of Honor, 1945; Painters & Sculptors of Los Angeles, 1947 (2nd prize), 1954 (1st prize); Glendale Public Library, 1960 (solo).
