<br>Thomas McGlynn was an early member of the Carmel Art Association, serving twice as President as well as serving on the Board and becoming a lifetime member.

<br>His paintings are among the most lyrical of the school of California Luminists. Almost completely a landscapist, his paintings convey the poetry, the sense of majesty and tranquility which he sensed in nature.
