<br>In the hills of Duncan Mills along the Russian River...
<br>
<br>"Wendy's House" was painted and exhibited during the years that McGlynn worked for Arthur Mathews in San Francisco. 
<br>
<br>McGlynn’s initial training began in 1899 where he entered the Mark Hopkins Art Institute- California School of Design in San Francisco, graduating in the same class as his close friend, Armin Hansen.
<br> 
<br>At that school Arthur Mathews became his mentor and later appointed him chief designer for Mathews' Furniture Shop from 1906-18.
